Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are going to be busy this award show season. The duo nabbed two more nominations — this time, for Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Birthday boy Brad — he turns 45 today — was nominated as lead actor for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He’ll face off against Richard Jenkins (The Visitor), Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon), Sean Penn (Milk) and Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler).
Bride-to-be Angelina was recognized as lead actress for her role in Changeling. She’ll go up against Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married), Melissa Leo (Frozen River), Meryl Streep (Doubt) and Kate Winslet (Revolutionary Road).
In TV land, Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Hugh Laurie (House), William Shatner (Boston Legal) and James Spader (Boston Legal) vie for the outstanding male actor in a drama series award. For outstanding comedy performance, it’s Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Steve Carell (The Office), David Duchovny (Californication), Jeremy Piven (Entourage) and Tony Shalhoub (Monk).
For the TV ladies, Sally Field (Brothers & Sisters), Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Holly Hunter (Saving Grace), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) compete for outstanding actress in a drama series. And for outstanding female actress in a comedy, it’s Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?), America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Tina Fey (30 Rock), Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds) and Tracey Ullman (Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union).
The late Heath Ledger was also given a nod for supporting actor for his role in Batman film Dark Knight.
